We are currently recruiting for an experienced Carpenter / Joiner to join a well-established team covering Peterborough and the surrounding areas on a self-employed subcontract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for long-term, ongoing work with a company-supplied van and consistent workload.
The Role
You’ll be carrying out a variety of carpentry and joinery works within domestic residential properties, including:
- Responsive repairs and maintenance
- Property refurbishment works
- Kitchen and bathroom fitting
- Door installations and repairs
- Second-fix carpentry
- General joinery and finishing works
- Working within occupied and vacant (void) properties
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery, City & Guilds qualification, or time-served carpenter/joiner
- Previous carpentry and joinery experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and deliver work to a high standard
Desirable Experience
- Social housing maintenance
- Local authority or housing association contracts
- Responsive repairs
- Planned maintenance programmes
- Working within occupied domestic properties
- Void property refurbishments and reinstatement works
