Birmingham Temporary Contract Starting Soon Social Housing
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Drainage Operative / Groundworker to join a Housing Association, working across properties in Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
This is a temporary position starting soon and would suit someone with a strong background in drainage and groundworks who is confident carrying out both blockage removals and drainage repairs.
Duties will include:
- Carrying out drainage repairs and maintenance
- Using high-pressure jetting equipment to clear blockages
- Investigating and resolving drainage issues
- Excavating and repairing damaged drainage and pipework
- Replacing drainage runs where required
- General groundworks associated with drainage repairs
- Working safely in and around occupied residential properties
The ideal candidate:
- Previous experience within drainage / groundworks
- Previous experience using drain jetting equipment is essential
- Confident carrying out drainage and pipe repairs
- Previous social housing or responsive repairs experience would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable, professional and comfortable working around tenants
